The 4th Industrial revolution is calling on us all to adapt and develop new methods of communication. This workshop will provide the necessary and practical tools required to write content for social media platforms, guide planning and social media strategy, engagement, make posts, and provide exposure to ‘new’ tools to design visual posts.
5. Capacity Enhancement and the Internationalisation of Doctoral Studies: Concrete Approaches to Internationalisation of Higher Education- The YEBO Study
Explore how the 4th Industrial Revolution is swiftly reshaping peoples’ everyday lives through advancements in fields such as artificial intelligence, 3D printing and biotechnology. The workshop examines the Erasmus+ Project YEBO as a case study to highlight how internationalisation may help address challenges presented by the impact of the 4th industrial revolution on Higher Education in particular.
6. Immigration in the Higher Education Sector: From Letter of Offer to Registration: the relationships and processes between the student, the university and the Department of Home Affairs (DHA)
As AI makes the digital world increasingly accessible, human beings still have to go through extensive processes to physically cross borders. This workshop will provide an overview of DHA immigration processes and requirements, and explore what works and what can go wrong from the moment an international student receives a letter of offer to being registered. Discover the different roles and responsibilities of students, international offices, IEASA, Embassies, VFS and the DHA, in preventing and resolving issues.
